My friend's boss sent this huge email about "synergizing forward momentum" and it just meant we're not getting new chairs. She read it out loud at lunch and we all just lost it, like all those words to say nothing. It's crazy how normal that kind of talk has gotten, where saying the simple thing feels shocking. Makes you wonder why they just can't say what they mean.
