Appreciation post: that small diner in Flagstaff where the waitress fixed my order before I even sat down
I stopped at a little place off Route 66 last Tuesday on a job run... the regular kind of place with sticky menus and coffee that's been sitting too long. Before I could even order, the waitress came over and said "you want the gut buster with extra eggs, same as last time." I'd never been there before in my life... she just guessed from how I looked, I guess. She nailed it too, best breakfast I've had in months. Has anyone else ever had a stranger just... know what you wanted like that?

A waitress in Winslow once told me I looked like a man who wanted a patty melt, she was right.
