Bought a $200 "professional" caulking gun that jammed on the second tube

Hold on a sec - it's actually not a "dripless" gun, it's called a "drip-free" or "no-drip" caulking gun. I mean, I know it sounds like the same thing but there's a difference in how the mechanism works inside. The drip-free ones have a little vacuum release that stops the flow when you let go of the trigger, but they can still jam up if the tube's not seated right. Maybe it's just me but I've had better luck with the ones that have a manual release rod you can push back while you're working. Idk, just thought I'd mention it since the name thing might help when you're looking for a replacement.

Man, are you me? I dropped $180 on a "pro grade" dripless gun. First tube worked okay. Second tube? It just locked up solid. Couldn't even get the plunger to move. Had to take it apart with a screwdriver and pry the whole mess out. Total waste of cash.
