Changed my mind about using a cheap tile saw for a bathroom floor

The blade wobbled and chipped half the tiles on a job in Tempe last week. Anyone know a solid brand under $400 that can handle porcelain?

Oh man, that is the WORST feeling! I've been there with a wobbly blade, it just ruins your whole day and all that material. For porcelain, you really need something sturdy. I've had good luck with the DeWalt models in that price range, they run smooth and don't shake themselves apart.

Yeah, I had that exact problem last month. I mean, the shaking was so bad it was chipping the tile edges. I ended up checking the arbor nut first, because sometimes it just works loose. But honestly, for me, the real fix was just getting a new blade. The old one was probably just worn out and couldn't stay true anymore.
