Forgot to specify paint sheen and had to redo a whole room.
Client approvals need to include every tiny detail.

The word "eggshell" on a paint can covers like five actual sheens. I watched a contractor and client argue because their signed "eggshell" approval meant a 10% sheen to one and a 25% to the other. You gotta specify the brand and product line name, not just the generic term.

Always get the actual sheen percentage in writing.

Is this why contracts are basically a list of definitions now? I see this everywhere with stuff like "creamy Italian" salad dressing meaning five different textures unless you say the specific brand.
