Hit $8,500 in extra change from a single commercial flooring job just because I showed up 15 minutes early
The owner saw me waiting and threw me a patching job that the regular crew had been too slow to quote, and now I'm wondering if showing up a little early is actually worth more than the work itself.

Showing up early puts you in the right place to catch the stuff nobody else sees coming.

Depends on what you're trying to catch though, @claire443. Getting to the grocery store early just means you watch them stock the shelves, that's not exactly insider info. And showing up 20 minutes early to a meeting just means you're sitting there awkwardly while everyone trickles in. Real game-changing stuff usually happens when you least expect it, not just because you got there first. Is being early really that different from being lucky?
