I watched a guy in Boise try to use a 3/8 impact driver to set concrete anchors
He was putting up a sign for a new cafe and the bit just spun in the hole after two seconds. I had to stop him before he stripped the whole thing. A hammer drill with a proper masonry bit is the only way for that job, and it matters because a loose sign is a huge safety risk. Anyone else see people skip the right tool for concrete work?

My neighbor tried using a regular drill for tapcons and snapped three bits. What's the worst tool misuse you've seen?

You said he snapped three bits and kept going? That's not bad luck, that's stubbornness. Regular drill bits aren't meant for masonry, plus tapcons need a hammer drill to get through concrete or brick without overheating.
