Old roofing foreman told me to stop carrying all my tools up the ladder at once
I was talking to this foreman named Pete at a job site in Phoenix last month. He saw me hauling my bags up the ladder with like 30 pounds of gear and just shook his head. He said I was burning out my shoulders before noon and making the ladder way more dangerous than it needed to be. He told me to make two trips instead and keep my hands free. I laughed it off at first but then I nearly slipped on the third rung carrying my nail gun. Now I do a quick tool run, then a material run, and I swear I feel less wrecked by lunch. Has anyone else had an old timer change how you approach the basics like that?
