Tried two different ways to seal a concrete patio and the cheaper one won

I had a job in Tempe last month sealing a big stamped concrete patio. The homeowner wanted me to use a high-end acrylic sealer they bought, but I also brought a basic solvent-based one I trust. After a week of 100-degree sun, the acrylic stuff started to peel and look milky in spots, while my solvent sealer on a test patch held up perfect. It saved them about $200 in materials and the finish is way more durable. Anyone else have a go-to sealer that just works better than the fancy brands?

Man, that's a classic story right there... Sometimes the simple stuff just works better in the real world. You can't argue with results that hold up in that kind of heat.

Remember that old pickup truck my grandpa drove for 30 years, @the_ryan? It's like that. The fancy tech inside new cars breaks, but that simple engine just ran.
