A guy at a nursery in Savannah sold me a 'dwarf' bald cypress that is now 22 feet tall
Three years ago I bought a bald cypress labeled 'dwarf' from a little nursery outside Savannah, and the guy swore it would top out around 8 feet. It is now 22 feet tall and leaning over my driveway. I measured it last weekend with a tape because my neighbor kept joking about it swallowing his fence. Turns out 'dwarf' bald cypress is not really a thing, and the tag was probably just for a cultivar that still gets huge. Has anyone else been burned by a bogus dwarf label, and is there any way to slow this thing down without killing it?
