Been doing lashes for 6 years and just now realized most of us overfill the glue wells
I was at a workshop in Phoenix last month and the instructor pointed out how I was using way more adhesive than needed. She showed me that a proper lash extension bond only needs a tiny dot about the size of a pinhead, not a full well. Ever since I cut back on volume, my retention actually got better and I'm wasting less glue. Anyone else find out they were overdoing it on adhesive for years?

Read a study recently that said most lash techs use 3 times more glue than needed, and that extra adhesive actually makes retention worse because it dries too thick. Cutting back to just a pinhead amount changed everything for me too, less waste and better holds. Funny how something so small makes that big of a difference.

I mean, yeah that makes total sense. I switched to barely dipping my tweezers and suddenly my sets were lasting way longer. Idk why it took me so long to figure out less is more.
