Bleached a client's roots with 20 volume instead of 30 volume by accident

I was in a rush last Tuesday and grabbed the wrong bottle. Client has level 4 natural hair wanting a level 8. I thought for sure it would come out orange and patchy. But honestly the lift was slower and more even, less damage too. She was happy with the result. Has anyone else had a happy accident like that where the weaker developer worked better?

Oh man, that's the kind of mistake that usually ends in a panic attack and a free redo. But hey, sometimes the universe knows better than we do, right? I swear, 20 volume is the tortoise that wins the race - it just takes its sweet time but gets you there without burning everything to a crisp. Sounds like your client got a bonus dose of healthy hair just because you grabbed the wrong bottle. Maybe we should all start accidentally reaching for the weaker stuff more often.
