Glycolic peel mishap at my station last month
I had a client come in for a mild refresh treatment, and I grabbed the 30% glycolic instead of my usual 10% because the bottles look almost identical in dim salon lighting. Applied it on her cheeks and chin without patch testing, and within 6 minutes she was bright red and burning. I neutralized it fast with baking soda mix, but she still had peeling for a week and left me a 2 star review on Yelp. Since then I bought different colored pump bottles and label them with TAPE at the top, so has anyone else mixed up acid strengths during a rush?

Two stars over a week of peeling feels steep. I get being mad, but the woman came in for a chemical peel, some redness and flaking is part of the deal, not a surprise bonus. Also, you caught it in six minutes and neutralized it, that's not exactly malpractice. Maybe she'd have complained about a papercut she got from her own magazine.
