Heard a client say her old stylist never used gloves for color

I was at a coffee shop in Denver last week and a woman at the next table was telling her friend about her last hair color job. She said, 'My old stylist never wore gloves, she said it made her work faster.' My stomach dropped. That's such a huge risk, not just for the stylist but for the client too. Color chemicals can cause serious skin issues over time, and cross contamination is a real problem. I've seen what happens when someone gets a bad reaction from a tool that wasn't cleaned right. It made me think we need to talk about this stuff more, even if it seems basic. How do you handle it when you see another pro cutting corners on safety?

That stylist in Denver is risking permanent nerve damage in her hands. I saw a case where someone developed contact dermatitis so bad they couldn't hold shears for months. The chemicals in color are no joke.

Actually, contact dermatitis is a skin thing, not nerve damage. Still super serious though.

She didn't even wear gloves? That's just asking for trouble.
