I thought those little plastic bowl clips for color were a gimmick

A client brought in a pack of the 'Color Claw' clips she got online, and I was ready to roll my eyes. But after trying them on a full foil highlight, they actually kept the sections from bleeding into each other way better than my usual foils. I'm not fully converted, but I'm keeping a pack in my station now. Anyone have a different brand they swear by for this?

Yeah, my buddy at the salon across town had the same reaction. She got a sample pack of some no-name clips from a beauty supply rep and basically threw them in a drawer for months. Finally tried them on a really tricky double-process blonde who always gets bleed, and she said it was the cleanest regrowth line she'd ever gotten on that client. She still uses foils for most things, but for those specific jobs, she won't use anything else now.

So we're all just hoarding random beauty samples until a miracle happens, huh? I have a drawer full of stuff I'm too scared to throw out because what if it's the secret thing.
