Just realized clip-ins beat tape-ins for my fine hair
I used tape-in extensions for 2 years. My stylist swore by them. But after my last removal I lost so much hair around my temples I almost cried. Switched to clip-ins from Sally Beauty 3 months ago. Cost me $80 instead of $400. My natural hair is growing back now. Anyone else have fine hair that just can't handle the adhesive?

Same honestly, I used to think tape-ins were the only way but clip-ins have been way gentler on my hair.

I made the switch from tape-ins to clip-ins about a year ago and wish I had done it sooner. My hair was getting thin around the temples from the adhesive pulling and I didn't realize how much damage it was causing until I stopped. Clip-ins take a little practice to get them to lay flat and look natural, but once you figure out your placement it's really not that bad. I also like that I can take them out at night and give my scalp a break. If you're someone who wears extensions every day, I think clip-ins are gentler in the long run.
