My color mixer finally gave out mid-service Tuesday afternoon

I was in the middle of a full balayage on a client at the shop in Arlington when my old color mixer just stopped spinning. It was a cheap one I'd had for maybe 3 years, and the motor just gave up completely. I had to hand-mix the rest of the formula which took forever and threw off my timing. Anyone else had a tool fail at the worst possible moment?

Did you have a backup mixer ready to go or were you just hoping that old one would hold out?

@jesse_cooper I had a cheap backup mixer sitting in the closet after my last one died mid-show, so I just swapped it in and finished the set no problem. Learned that lesson the hard way once and never again lol.
