Overheard a client in my chair say 'I just want to look like the filter'

It hit me that we're not just fixing hair anymore, we're fixing a digital distortion they see as real. I spent 20 minutes explaining why her hairline can't look like a blurred Instagram edit. How do you guys handle these impossible beauty standards now?

My last client brought in a screenshot of a Snapchat filter. I told her I'm good, but I can't change the laws of physics for fifty bucks. We settled on some layers instead.

Wait, she seriously thought a filter was a real haircut? That's wild. At least you found a middle ground that works. Some people's expectations are just out of this world.
