The time I tried to use a curling iron like a flat iron and fried a client's bangs
Back in beauty school, I thought all hot tools were basically the same. I tried to smooth out a client's frizzy bangs with a 1-inch curling iron, clamping and pulling like it was a flat iron. The smell hit me first, then I saw the ends were literally smoking. My instructor, Mrs. Ellis, walked over and just said, 'Jordan, what in the world are you doing?' That was five years ago, and now I own three different flat irons for different hair types. Anyone else have a beauty school horror story they can laugh about now?
