A 40 year operator told me to stop gripping the levers so tight in Houston
He said my white knuckles were killing my feel for the load, so I loosened up and started using two fingers instead. Got a better swing out of a 90 ton Grove the same afternoon, has anyone else tried relaxing their grip?
Tbh that two finger grip is the secret, once you stop strangling the machine it starts talking back to you through the seat. Next step is learning to read the swing through your boots, that's where the real finesse shows up.
