Had a seagull decide my crane cab was a perfect nest site last Tuesday
I was on a site in Portland, doing a slow lift with a load of rebar. Out of nowhere, a big seagull just lands on the cab roof and starts pulling up bits of insulation from the window seal. It was building a nest right there while I was trying to work. I gave the horn a couple short blasts, which just made it look at me funny. Had to stop the lift, climb out carefully, and gently shoo it away with my hard hat. Anyone else had wildlife try to move in on their equipment?

My buddy had a raccoon set up shop in his backhoe bucket for a solid week. It would hiss every time he tried to start the machine in the morning. He finally had to bribe it out with a can of tuna left on the ground.

Did your buddy's raccoon ever try to bring friends? I swear they're worse than college kids looking for a free place to crash.
