I finally got a load cell for my boom, worth every penny in Detroit

Last month I dropped $850 on an aftermarket load cell after a near miss with an overstuffed concrete bucket. It's paid for itself twice over already, we caught a bad sling rating that would've put us over on a tight residential job near 8 Mile. Now I'm curious, who else runs with a backup sensor or do you trust the factory gauge and your gut?

Heard a guy over in Warren say the same thing after a boom truck tip scare last spring. Said the factory gauge was reading fine but the load cell caught a bent pick point on an old I-beam. Cheap insurance compared to a hospital visit or a lawsuit.
