Old timer told me to slow down on the boom hoist. He was right.

Guy with 40 years in the seat said I was jerking the load around coming down. Finally tried his pace on a job last week, load sat smooth as glass. Anyone else get called out like that and it actually stuck?

Old timers know their shit" - my grandpa was one of those guys who could fix anything with a paperclip and some duct tape. He had a way of telling stories that started with fixing a tractor and ended with how he met my grandma at a county fair. Funny how the real knowledge comes from people who never took a class on it, just lived through it.
