Rigging a stubborn beam with a chain binder trick I figured out by accident last month

Had this 40 foot I-beam to set on a tight city job downtown. My usual basket hitch kept slipping no matter how I choked it. About to call for a different rig when I remembered seeing some guy online just double wrap the chain around the load before tightening. Tried it on a whim and that thing held like a rock. Never seen that in any manual. Anyone else got a weird rigging hack they swear by?
