A guy at a bus stop in Denver gave me a writing prompt I still think about
I was waiting for the 15L, just scribbling in my notebook. This older man sat next to me and said, 'Write about a library where the books are alive and get into arguments.' He got on his bus before I could ask anything else. That was maybe eight months ago, and I've written three different stories from that one idea. Has a random comment from a stranger ever sparked a whole project for you?

A podcast I heard talked about how random ideas can stick with you.

Last year a barista wrote "your story matters" on my coffee cup. I ended up writing a whole series of flash fiction pieces based on that tiny bit of push. Those little nudges from the world are the best kind of creative fuel. Your library idea sounds amazing, by the way. I love that a five second interaction stuck with you for so long.
