Can we talk about those 'premium' prompt idea generators?

I got a bit too excited about a new writing project last fall and dropped $75 on a subscription to one of those fancy AI prompt websites. You know, the ones that promise endless, unique story starters. I figured it would save me time. After a week, I realized every single prompt it gave me was just a slight twist on 'character finds a mysterious object' or 'person wakes up in a strange place'. I could have gotten the same ideas scrolling through a free forum for ten minutes. It felt like paying for a bag of air. Has anyone else found a tool or method for generating prompts that's actually worth the cash, or is it all just a shiny trap?

It's the same with those fancy kitchen gadgets that do one weird trick. You buy the avocado slicer but a normal knife works better and takes less space. We keep paying for shortcuts to things our own brains are already pretty good at. The real trick is just sitting down and starting, even if the first idea seems dumb.

Totally fell for the same trap with a character name generator.
