I finally hit 100 forum posts and it feels like a weird milestone

I hit 100 replies on a writing prompt thread about time travel last Tuesday. Not my words, just replies to other folks. It got me thinking about how this place used to be 10 years back, when prompts were one sentence and people actually finished their stories. Now everyone wants a whole novel outline in the comments. The number 100 surprised me because I never tracked activity here, but scrolling my history felt like flipping through old notebook pages. Some of those early replies were cringe, but they had heart. I wonder if anyone else ever looks back at their old prompt responses and feels like they're reading a stranger's work.

Some of those early replies were cringe, but they had heart" hit me hard because I just went back through my own post history last week. I found a response I wrote to a prompt about a haunted vending machine where I had the machine whisper "try the chips first" and I called that a plot twist. Reading it now feels like a different person typed it, like someone who thought a joke was enough to carry a whole story. The weird part is I remember being proud of that dumb line, and now I can't decide if that's embarrassing or kind of sweet. Also, 100 posts is nothing, I hit 2,000 last month and I still have zero finished stories to show for it.
