Outlining on index cards vs. writing straight into a doc, which way do you draft now?

Used to map every chapter on 3x5 cards, color coded by plot thread. Got sick of shuffling them after a move last spring. Now I just dump the beats into a plain text file, no colors, no order. Am I losing structure or just saving time? Anyone else ditch their old system for speed?
