That week in June when every single scene I wrote felt like pulling teeth.
I was stuck on a prompt about a haunted lighthouse for 5 days straight, and it turned out the problem was I was trying to write it from the ghost's point of view instead of the lighthouse keeper's. Has anyone else hit a wall like that and completely misread the prompt?

Wait so you were trying to channel a dead guy instead of just telling the story through a living person who actually has stakes? That's a weird trick honestly, switching POVs usually either clicks everything into place or makes the whole thing worse with no middle ground. Did the lighthouse story end up working once you switched to the keeper, or was the whole prompt just cursed from the start?

Wait is that just how we approach most problems in life, trying to solve something from the wrong angle because it feels more clever? @sage_morgan75 that POV switch is like trying to fix a leaky faucet by replacing the shower head instead of checking the handle first.
