TIL my main character's name was the same as my boss's after writing 30 pages.

I was halfway through a draft for a sci-fi prompt when I realized my gruff spaceship captain, 'Marcus', shared a name with my actual boss, so I used a simple find-and-replace to switch it to 'Kael' before anyone in my writing group noticed.
