Used a writing prompt about my worst day ever, ended up with two totally different stories and can't pick one
Wrote a character piece for my Tuesday group about the day I got laid off from the bike shop in Denver, and someone said I should write it as a straight flashback scene while another said make the whole thing a found receipt with notes on the back. The flashback version got way more hits at 430 words, but the receipt version made three people cry at the reading. Which one would you keep, or do you just merge them and risk a mess?
