Hit 500 downloads on my podcast episode about death rituals in different cultures, which felt huge because I was scared to even talk about it.
I was honestly shocked that many people listened to me discuss how some cultures see openly talking about death as deeply disrespectful, while others view avoiding the topic as the real taboo.

Used to think it was always rude to bring up. Hearing how some places find silence worse really flipped that for me.

That's a really big deal, congrats on hitting that number. Talking about death is such a tricky subject for a lot of people, myself included. It makes total sense you were nervous to put it out there. The different cultural views on it are fascinating, and clearly something a lot of people wanted to hear about.

The silence taboo thing is wild because in Japan they have these memorial services where you literally write letters to the dead and burn them with incense, basically treating death as a regular part of life that you keep talking about. It makes you wonder if our culture's whole "don't bring it up" thing actually makes grief harder by pretending it doesn't exist until someone forces the conversation. Really cool that you pushed past that fear and got people thinking about it in a new way.
