Just realized how messed up it is that we can't talk about grief openly here.

The funeral process made me see why silence hurts more.

Did you notice how fast people clear out after the funeral service? It's wild to me that everyone just scatters because they don't know what to say. That silence when someone loses a person is the loudest thing. We act like grief is a secret you have to keep quiet. Makes the whole thing so much lonelier.

Watched everyone bolt after my grandma's funeral, left the church in under five minutes. Felt like they were running from the discomfort, not the loss. That empty parking lot after was the loneliest sight, just me and my mom staring at each other. We've turned grief into something to escape instead of share.

Honestly, I get why it looks that way but I see it different. Sometimes people scatter because they feel like they're in the way, not because they don't care. They might think the family needs space or they're just bad at the awkward talking part. That empty parking lot is rough, but it doesn't always mean people ran from the loss. They just don't know how to be there without making it worse.
