PSA: Funeral traditions in Ghana are NOT what you think
I used to think every culture just buries or burns their dead, but then I saw how Ghanaians do it with these huge, expensive fantasy coffins shaped like fish or cars. My buddy's family spent over $2,000 on one shaped like a Mercedes last year, and the whole village parades it around before burial. Has anyone else run into a tradition that totally flipped your idea of what's normal?

Actually the coffins aren't always paraded, some families just use them for display during the service.

That whole "fantasy coffin" thing really flipped how I see funerals, I used to think they were all quiet and sad too.
