Took me 3 weeks to find out Indian families don't talk about wills
I was trying to help my grandma split her property among her kids in Mumbai, but every time I brought it up, my uncle changed the subject. After 21 days of hints and awkward silences, my aunt finally told me that discussing inheritance is considered bad luck and inviting death into the house. Does anyone here come from a culture where talking about money after someone dies is just not done?

Yeah I saw something about this on Reddit a while ago, huge taboo in a lot of Asian families.

@mia_singh24 nailed it with the taboo thing. What worked for me was framing it as "making sure nothing gets messy later" instead of talking about death directly, then my uncle finally cracked.
