Walked out of a funeral in Kentucky because I was laughing at the wrong time

I was at my great uncle's funeral in a tiny Baptist church. They started talking about him winning the county fair pie contest three years in a row. I was stifling a laugh because I remembered he used store-bought crusts. My cousin elbowed me and whispered "you don't show emotions like that here." That's when I realized in that culture you keep a straight face no matter what. Anybody else ever laugh at the wrong moment in a serious setting?

Oh man, I snorted during a eulogy once (my grandma's dentures flew into a punch bowl)

My buddy Steve's grandma had this habit of falling asleep at random moments. She went out cold during her sister's funeral, snoring loud enough that people turned around. Her dentures slipped out and landed right in the open casket's flower arrangement. Steve had to pretend he was coughing to cover his laugh, but his shoulders were shaking so bad his dad elbowed him. The priest even paused for a second, which made it worse lol.
