A builder in Austin told me my window placement was all wrong and I changed my whole floor plan after that.
He said I was blocking the natural airflow path and that would make my AC work twice as hard in the summer, so I moved three windows around last week and now it feels way more open, has anyone else had a builder catch something obvious you missed?

Oh man that's wild but something just clicked for me. You know what else nobody talks about with window placement? How it affects your furniture layout long term. I had a buddy who put his couch right under a window that was supposed to be the main airflow intake and he had to rearrange his whole living room twice before he gave up and moved the window anyway. Your builder probably saved you from that headache too honestly.

I actually read a study once that said something like 70% of furniture layout regrets come from poor window placement decisions. @caseys30 your buddy's story sounds exactly like that, people just don't think about airflow when they're picking out a couch. In my experience, living with a window for a few months before making big furniture purchases saves a ton of headache later.
