Can we talk about how long window delivery actually takes?
I ordered custom windows for my build back in March. Sales guy said 8-10 weeks. No problem I thought. Week 12 rolls around and nothing. Call them up. Oh they're in production still. Week 16 I finally get a ship date. Not the windows though. Just the frames. The sashes came separate 3 weeks later. Then the hardware was backordered another month. Total time from order to install ready? 22 weeks. Double what they quoted. My whole framing schedule got wrecked. Is this just normal now or did I pick the wrong supplier? Anyone else have window timelines blow up their build schedule?

Is 22 weeks that bad or am I just being dramatic? I mean I waited like 14 weeks for a storm door once and by the time it showed up I'd forgotten what color I even ordered. Maybe it's just me but window timelines seem to operate on some alternate calendar where a "week" is actually a month and a half. Idk, I feel like the sales guys just pick a number out of a hat and hope for the best.
