Custom builder ghosted me after the foundation was poured

I paid a local custom home builder a $15k deposit and they poured the slab 8 weeks ago, then just stopped showing up and wont return my calls. Has anyone else had a builder vanish mid-project and what did you do to get them back or get your money back?

A buddy of mine had that happen, ended up filing a complaint with the state licensing board.

@hugo236 That's a good call, my cousin did the same thing with a contractor who vanished.
