My framing crew used to eyeball everything, but a $1200 laser level changed our whole workflow
We switched after a foundation pour in Tacoma went sideways because a wall was a full inch out of square. Anyone else find a specific tool that cut down on callbacks?

A whole inch out of square is definitely annoying, but a $1200 laser seems like overkill unless you're doing huge commercial jobs. Most residential framing crews can get by just fine with a decent level and a good square for a fraction of that cost. Maybe the issue is more about who's on the crew and less about the tool itself... it's not like a laser makes bad measuring or cutting go away. Seems like a lot of people get hung up on gear when the real fix is just paying attention.
