Our custom home's window approval took 11 months longer than planned
We're building in a historic overlay district in Savannah, and the review board kept rejecting our window designs. The builder said it would take maybe 2 months for approval, but it dragged on for over a year. We went through 5 different design submissions, changing the muntin pattern and frame color each time. The final delay added about $15,000 in extra holding costs. Has anyone else had a historic approval process completely blow their timeline?

Historic boards are the worst for adding surprise costs.

Tell me about it. Just had a project go way over budget for the same reason.
