Pro tip: Setting a hard deadline on picking finishes saved me from remodeling paralysis
I spent 4 months going back and forth on cabinet hardware and backsplash tile for my custom build, and it was driving everyone nuts including my builder. Finally told my wife we had to pick everything in one weekend or I was just going to pick standard white subway tile and basic pulls from Home Depot. Has anyone else had to put a hard stop on decisions just to keep the project moving?

Hard deadlines work, indecision kills projects.

Bet flip it around though. Sometimes a loose deadline gives people room to actually do their best work instead of rushing out half-baked stuff just to hit some arbitrary date.
