I finally stopped using the same password for everything after a wake up call at a coffee shop

I used to just use one password for every single account I had. Bank, email, Netflix, whatever. It was just easier to remember that way. Then last August I was sitting at a Starbucks in Chicago checking my email on their free WiFi. A guy next to me literally watched me type my password over my shoulder. I didn't even notice until he got up and left. That freaked me out so bad I went home and changed every single login that day. Now I use a password manager with totally random passwords for each site. It's a pain to set up but I sleep way better. Has anyone else had a close call like that where you almost got hacked?

Yeah a password manager saved me after I got phished once too, never looking back.

Man that's wild, getting shoulder surfed like that at a coffee shop is a nightmare scenario. It's crazy how one close call can change your whole online habits forever.
