Old IT guy in Phoenix told me to stop clicking 'remind me tomorrow' in 2019, and he was dead right
He said every skipped update is a door left open, and 6 months later my work laptop got hit with ransomware that traced back to a patch I'd put off since March. Anyone else have a boss or buddy whose nagging turned out to be the reason you didn't lose everything?

Ngl that old IT guy sounds like a fortune teller who actually knew what he was talking about for once. Clicking remind me tomorrow is basically playing chicken with your own data and losing every single time. Glad you came out the other side with just a lesson and not a wiped drive.
