Pro tip: The week I stopped using the same password for everything
About three years ago, my old Yahoo account got popped in a data breach I didn't even know about. I found out when my main email got flooded with weird login attempts for other sites. It took me a full afternoon to go through and reset passwords on about 15 different accounts, from my bank to a pizza delivery app. I finally set up a password manager that week, and it was a huge pain at first, but now I can't imagine going back. Has anyone else had that 'oh no' moment that finally made you switch?

Oh man, @dixon.amy, that smart lock thing is a real fear. My cousin had his garage door opener code set to his birthday for years, the same one he used on some ancient forum. Someone guessed it and just walked right in to steal his bike. He only found out because they left the side door open.

Imagine your smart lock using the same password as your old MySpace.

That smart lock using the same password as your old MySpace" hit close to home. A buddy of mine had his Ring doorbell password set to what he used on a gaming forum from high school. Someone got into his account from a old data breach and spent a weekend yelling at delivery drivers through the speaker.
