Showerthought: I spent 3 hours trying to get a password manager to work on my old laptop.
I kept getting an error about the security certificate, and it turned out the laptop's clock was set wrong by a full day, which I only found after reading a forum post from 2015.

Wait, your laptop clock was off by a whole day? How does that even happen, I've seen them drift by a few minutes but that's wild.

Heard a theory that bad CMOS batteries can cause the date to reset to default.
