Spent 4 hours fighting a false alarm from my own home security system

Honestly, last Tuesday I spent 4 hours trying to figure out why my Ring alarm kept going off at 3am for no reason. Turns out a spider crawled into the motion sensor and set it off. I was ready to call a security company and everything. Has anyone else had wildlife cause false alarms or am I just unlucky?

Oh man, I feel your pain! My cat once set off my whole system by jumping at a moth on the ceiling at 2am.

Gotta correct ya @kevin_schmidt97 moths are nocturnal so there's a good chance it was actually a different bug lol. Moths are pretty clumsy fliers too so they'd be more likely to bump into the sensor rather than set it off with a jump. Either way though man that cat definitely knew what it was doing.
