The week my work laptop got locked out over a free coffee app

Last month in Austin, I installed a loyalty app from a local shop to grab a free latte, and three days later my work IT flagged my device for suspicious activity. Turns out the app was pulling contacts and clipboard data in the background, and I had to spend a whole afternoon wiping my machine and redoing my access badges. Has anyone else had a tiny personal install spiral into a company-wide security headache like that?
