TIL a free password manager app cost me 3 days of recovery time

I had all my logins in a note on my phone, thought it was fine. Dropped the phone in a puddle last Tuesday and the note got corrupted, no export, nothing. Took me 3 days to reset every account, including my bank and work email. Anyone else store passwords in notes and get burned, or am I the only stubborn one left?
