Vent: I was reusing the same password for 7 years until my bank called me

Last month, I got a call from my bank's fraud department asking about a login from a city I've never been to. I realized I had been using my old college email password, 'GoTeam2016', for my bank, my main email, and a bunch of other sites. The bank agent said the attempt came from a data breach on some shopping site I used years ago. I had to spend a whole afternoon resetting everything. Has anyone else had a close call like that from an old password?

Yeah, "GoTeam2016" is the exact kind of password I used to make. I had a close call with an old gaming forum breach, same deal. It's wild how one dumb password from years ago can come back like that.

Totally thought password managers were overkill until my old Netflix password got popped lol. Now I'm a total convert.
